How do I nourish myself in the middle of a demanding day?Learn how to build satisfying, culturally relevant anti-inflammatory meals that support insulin sensitivity and sustained energy, while using breath, food timing, food combining, and yogic mindful eating to support digestion—even during a busy clinical day.- Weeks 5–6 • Evening Restoration
How do I help my body come down from that day?Align evening nourishment with your body's changing metabolic needs, then use therapeutic yoga, the Pranayama and restorative practices to support digestion, glucose regulation, nervous system recovery and sleep.- Week 7 • Cultivating Joy
How do I stay anchored in myself while I'm living that day?Develop simple joy practices you can use throughout the day to interrupt autopilot, return to the present and remain grounded in what is true and life-giving—even when the demands around you haven't changed.Joy is not an escape from life's demands. Meet Your Program Guides
Kiran Bissoon is an award-winning Ayurvedic Nutritionist and Joy Health Coach, trained at the Om Tat Sat Institute of Yoga in Florida, with more than a decade of experience translating nutrition, Ayurveda, and lifestyle practices into practical, culturally relevant care. Her work spans cancer nutrition, digestive and metabolic health, chronic inflammation, and therapeutic food preparation, with a particular focus on insulin resistance. Kiran’s strength lies in implementation—helping people understand what their bodies are communicating and turn health recommendations into sustainable daily rhythms that work within real lives, families, cultures, and traditions. Her work complements medical care by helping people become informed, active participants in caring for themselves.Dr. Shailla Vaidya, MD, MPH CCFP(EM) practices Mind-Body Medicine in Toronto, Canada. She has trained in Family and Emergency Medicine, Therapeutic Yoga, and holds a Master's in Public Health from Harvard University. For over 25 years, Dr. Vaidya has provided innovative healthcare to diverse and marginalized populations, leveraging her unique combination of Eastern Wisdom and Western Medicine to help individuals effectively manage stress-related illnesses. She has created several impactful, trauma-informed therapeutic programs, including the Yoga of Burnout Recovery, the Reconnect Concussion Program, and the Live Better Lifestyle Medicine Program. With a special interest in helping professionals, Dr. Vaidya is passionate about healing our healers.
